Bouncing over exposed roots, the trail dumps you out at Pete’s Lake Campground. During lazy summer afternoons, kayakers and small sailboats drift on Pete’s Lake, and the delighted screams of playing children follow cyclists back into the forest. The trail continues on a roller-coaster ride through dense trees and crosses over forest roads, the Indian River, and the McKeever Cross County Trail System.
